We are a mixed a cappella group based out of Griffith University and operates under the umbrella of The Gold Coast Harmony Club (The Blenders Chorus). Griffith University and The Blenders are working together to enhance the level of participation in the modern a cappella world for university aged males and females. The Blenders is a non-profit organisation that has a strong involvement in the community while focusing on development of youth and high level competing both nationally and internationally.
Our mission is to provide members with quality education in the art of a cappella where they will be exposed to unforgettable experiences while maintaining vocal excellence.
We aim to maintain a fresh modern approach to a cappella singing by singing popular and modern arrangements that will appeal to all. Members will receive education from professionals in the a cappella world on a weekly basis. Many pathways and opportunities are open to them as they explore the wonders of harmony singing and performing.
It's time to bring this popular American art form to the Gold Coast and all male and female, ages of 16 - 30, are welcome to join us on this movement.
Our membership is open to any current Griffith University Stuents (any campus) up to the age of 30 or any immediate past alumni of the university up to the age of 25. Our new member intake occurs at the start of each University Semester and you can find us on the Gold Coast Campus at the Student Guild's club sign on day. If you miss us at the start of the semester send us an email at [email protected] or come to any of our rehearsals (Wednesday nights from 7pm-9pm in the large auditorium in G40) and we'll see what we can do to accommodate you.
