Ever since New Year's Eve came out in 2011 I've wanted to go to New York. My friend and I promised each other we would save and go there during New year's so we could do all the things we saw in movies like ice skating, watching the ball drop at midnight in Time's square, eating hot dogs, wearing boots (we live in QLD and don't get snow or cold weather), eating a giant slice of New York pizza , eating twinkies , eating doughnuts. OK there is a lot of eating involved. But alas, we never did end up going. We both got into relationships and you know how it gets, that was the end of our travel story.

But when i joined serotonin all these amazing things started to happen and one day our director asked us who would be interested to go to NY, a handfull of us shot our hands up without thinking twice about costs and yes you guessed it I was one of them. This was the opportunity!! I could finally go do those wonderful things and all that eating ofcourse but most importantly this time I could proudly say I was also singing in the prestigious Distinguised Concerts International New York. I mean, not every one gets to do this. We are also the only university from Australia to be invited.

So the countdown to New York begins. We are going there earlier than we have to be so we can get all touristy things done. We have a list of things we want to do and since we have such a big group of 19 people we also have so many interests. Good luck to us...... it's going to be an exciting adventure for all of us...

51 Days to go

MMMMMMMMM.. GIANT PIZZA, oh yeah we are going to hunt down the biggest pizza in New YORK and eat it ! ( even though I can't actually eat any of these because I have celiac disease I can still drool while my friends eat!)

Signing out for now
